Marcos Kaiser studied restoration and fine arts in Hungary and Brazil prior to establishing his lute-making workshop, in the year 2002. Since then he has finished a Masters degree in Music Technology at London Metropolitan University, where he also was Artist in Residence for a year. In 2013 he was awarded the Ketel One/Wallpaper prize for craftsmanship. His main line of research focuses on the use of traditional methods in building historical instruments. The range of instruments available includes renaissance lutes, theorboes, archlutes, baroque guitars and Hurdy-Gurdies.
