German musicologist and Artistic Director of Bachfest Michael Maul presents the newly-translated English edition of his acclaimed monograph Johann Sebastian Bach: ‘Marvellous are thy works’, while broadcaster and writer Hannah French introduces The Rolling Year: Listening to the Seasons with Vivaldi – a lyrical exploration of how music shapes our sense of time and nature.
In this 60-minute conversation, guided by LIFEM’s Artistic Director Erik Bosgraaf, and Festival Director Chris Butler, the authors will discuss their work and the wider themes behind it, followed by an audience Q&A. A unique chance to hear fresh insights on two of classical music’s most enduring figures.
