2022 Concerts

We are thrilled to be able to welcome the highly-acclaimed Brook Street Band to open our 2022 festival, including Early Transitions (world premiere) by Nitin Sawhney.

Solomon’s Knot last performed at LIFEM in 2019, and we are delighted that they are returning in 2022 with a sublime programme of motets by Johann Sebastian and Johann Christoph Bach.

Winner of the SRP/Moeck Solo Recorder Competition 2021, Charlotte Schneider joins us alongside musicians Alice Letort (lute and romantic guitar) and Irene González Roldán (harpsichord).

As good friends of the festival, we are very pleased to welcome PIVA to give their first full festival performance, performing a stunning programme of music from renaissance Italy and England.

It is a privilege to be hosting the UK performance debut of Madrid-based ensemble Taracea, combining early tradition and contemporary sounds borrowed from Jazz and Mediterranean music.
