Lecture Recital on Original Recorders & Modern Copies
What happens when you hear a 300-year-old recorder – and then its modern copy? How different can they really sound?
In this concert and lecture recital Vincenta Prüger and Nik Tarasov take you on a journey through the history of the recorder – from the Renaissance and Baroque to the Romantic era and the 20th century. Original historical instruments from the Aeon Workshop Collection will be played alongside modern copies, making their individual sound worlds directly audible.
But this is more than a sound comparison: each instrument has its own story. And there is something new to discover: we will also present instruments from Mollenhauer’s new special editions, now available from The Early Music Shop – including Adri’s Dream Flute in grenadilla, the Denner Edition in stained satinwood, and the Csakan.
