Come along on a journey through the wonderful world of the recorder – in space! Recorder explorer Sarah Jeffery has boosted up her rocket, donned her helmet, and is blasting off
into a galaxy of music and sound. And she needs your help! Wormholes and black holes, mysterious aliens, even time travel – anything can happen. But it’s all possible, thanks to the power of music!
Featuring music from the 14th century to… the future.

About the artist
Sarah Jeffery is one of the world’s foremost promoters of the recorder and performs regularly all over the globe as a soloist and chamber musician, from Brazil to Singapore, Finland to Australia. Recent accolades range from Best of Classical Music 2020 in the NRC for production While We Live, composing/musical direction for short film Recorder Rewrite at the Venice Biennale, and the nomination for Best Media at the prestigious REMA Early Music Awards.
Sarah was appointed as Recorder Professor Specialising in Contemporary Music at the Royal College of Music in London in 2022, and she is honorary Vice-President of the Society of Recorder Players. Her popular YouTube channel Team Recorder has gathered 200,000 subscribers and aims to make music education more accessible.
Sarah is currently published by Schott Music in Europe, with whom she recently released her fourth book. She is looking forward to the release of her new beginner’s method for recorder published by Hal Leonard, in 2025.
