LIFEM | 8-11 November 2023

The closing sights and sounds of LIFEM22 are still fresh in the memory and what a festival it was this year! The highlights were many and various, from Nitin Sawhney’s vibrant new work Early Transitions, to the intimacy of Taracea’s rendition of Dowland’s Come Again, contrasting with Ensemble Pampinea’s journey to 14th-century Florence and the massed exhibition of instrument makers at Blackheath Halls. Many thanks to all of you who made the journey to SE3, and for supporting our mission to bring you the very best in early music. We will try to do it all again in 2023, our 50th anniversary year, and look forward to seeing you there.

In the meantime, please look out for the LIFEM concerts which will be available on Marquee TV in early December!

“Makers of crumhorns, lutes, viols, sackbuts and shawms rub shoulders with top players, singers and composers, in a week-long celebration of musical exploration and performance.”
